No changes were made to the Indian Squad for the remainder of the 7-match series against Australia. Ishant Sharma, who gifted the Third ODI to the Aussies by getting smacked for 30 runs in the 48th over has been retained by the Selectors! Same is the case with R Ashwin and R Vinay Kumar, who have struggled to look penetrative against the Aussies.

Australia is leading the 7-match series 2-1 having won the First ODI at Pune and the Third ODI at Mohali. India had won the Second ODI at Jaipur but that was only because of its super power batting line-up. The Selectors have disappointed the fans by retaining the ordinary looking Ishant Sharma. Ashwin has been off colour since the closing stages of CLT20. The Tamil Nadu spinner, who has messed up his bowling because of the excessive use of carrom balls has been dishing out plenty of full tosses and long hops of late.

India has also overused R Vinay Kumar, whose lack of pace simply means lack of penetration. The hosts are still sticking with the same toothless bowling attack. There is some hope though with this squad with the trio of Amit Mishra, Jaydev Unadkat and Mohammad Shami yet to be utilized in the series and all the three are likely to get the nod of Skipper MS Dhoni for the 4th ODI at Ranchi which is on the 23rd.

India ODI Squad Vs Australia (4th, 5th, 6th and 7th ODIs):

MS Dhoni (Captain and Wicket Keeper), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, R Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra, AT Rayudu, Mohammed Shami, Jaydev Unadkat
