Adam Zampa Set for a Big Future with Australia

At the age of just 23, Adam Zampa made his international debut for Australia against New Zealand earlier in 2016 and after making an immediate impact for the baggy green, the leg spinner is already being dubbed as the next Shane Warne by many Australians.

The similarities between Australia’s greatest spinner also occur because their actions look very similar as Zampa looks to have based his game on his idol when growing up as a young lad playing cricket.

Zampa was part of Australia’s 2016 ICC World Twenty20 squad for the competition in India where he picked up the Man of the Match award for his four wickets in his side’s victory over Bangladesh in the Super 10. Unfortunately for Australia, they could only finish third in Group Two behind New Zealand and India and therefore they did not qualify for the semi-finals.

The New South Wales-born cricketer made his debut in the Indian Premier League where he was signed by the Rising Pune Supergiants. In a match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, he took six wickets for just 19 runs in what was ranked as the second best performance by a bowler in the history of the competition, with only Sohail Tanvir finishing a game with better figures in the IPL when he picked up six wickets for just 14 runs.

Zampa shone once again in Australia’s recent one day victory over the West Indies when he picked up three wickets, conceding just 16 runs in his 5.3 overs. He will continue to play an integral role in that triangular series where he is likely to be faced with a tougher test when his side meet South Africa in the tour.

Zampa is likely to make his Test debut when Australia travel to Sri Lanka. The hosts of that series have not been in good form of late and have struggled in England so the leg spinner may be able to make an immediate impact. The pitches in Asia normally suit spinners so he could pick up plenty of his wickets for his country during those three Test matches.

Zampa featured on the ICC Cricket World Cup 2016 PC game and he is firmly part of the Australia team in the international section. Before downloading this game you can practice other cricket games with Australian pokies where there is no waiting for any downloads as they have instant sports game available at a click of a button.

Looking further ahead, Zampa could play a key part in helping Australia regain the Ashes from their big rivals England. The next Ashes series is in Australia and the New South Wales man will have had experience of being in and around the baggy green Test team. The Aussies were beaten in 2015 in England so will be keen to succeed on home soil for the five Test series for the famous urn.
