Australia defeated minnows Kenya by 60 runs in their Group A Match at Bangalore. The defending champs failed to bowl out Kenya after posting a total of 324 for 6 having won the toss. Kenya thanks to a solid 98 not out (in 129 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes) by Man of the Match – Collins Obuya finished the game with a respectable 264 for 6. Tanmay Mishra also came good with a knock of 72 from 89 balls with 8 fours and a six.

Earlier in the morning, Australia had three half centurions in Brad Haddin (65 from 79 balls with 9 fours and a six), Michael Clarke (93 from 80 balls with 7 fours and a six) and Michael Hussey (54 from 43 balls with 4 fours). Pace bowler Nehemiah Odhiambo was the most successful bowler in the entire match taking 3 for 57 in his 10 overs.
