England have won the crucial toss at Lord’s in the second Test and have elected to bat first in good batting conditions. Monty Panesar has been dropped in favour of Graham Onions and Andrew Flintoff is fit to play. No changes from the Aussies.

Morning Session – England 1st Innings

Over 0.6 : Beaten. Ben Hilfenhaus to A Strauss, short of length delivery, thats an unplayable one which pitches around middle and deviates away with a lot of lift to beat Strauss comprehensively.

Over 1.1 : Boundary! M Johnson to A Cook, pitched up delivery, thats onto the pads and Cook flicks that uppishly through squareleg for a boundary.

Over 5.4 : Boundary! M Johnson to A Strauss, short and wide, gets the punishment it deserved with Strauss bending back and cutting that away behind point for a boundary.

Over 5.6 : Boundary! M Johnson to A Strauss, pitched up delivery, onto the pads and gets clipped away uppishly through mid wicket for a boundary. Are the betting sites predicting an English victory in this Lord’s Test?

Over 6.2 : Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to A Cook, good length delivery, plays well away from his body and gets a streaky boundary past gully.

Over 6.6 : Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to A Cook, good length delivery, looks to drive on the up and can only get a thick outside edge that luckily flies past Ponting’s left in the slip cordon for a boundary.

Over 7.2 : Boundary! M Johnson to A Strauss, short and wide, flays at that hard to get a boundary over the gully region.

Over 11.4: Boundary! M Johnson to A Cook, pitched up delivery, gets a thickish outside edge in his drive which rolls quickly behind point for a boundary.

Over 12.6: Boundary! P Siddle to A Strauss, half volley, drives that through extra covers and thankfully the outfield at Lord’s is unilke the one at Cardiff and its an easy boundary for the batsman.

Over 13.5: Three runs. Ben Hilfenhaus to A Cook, pitched up delivery, drives it sweetly to the right of mid off and gets only three as he didn’t generate much power in that shot

Over 14.5: Boundary! P Siddle to A Cook, short of length delivery, thats a very ambitious pull shot from Cook in the air and there is no fielder at deep backward squareleg to take that top edge.

Over 16.1: Boundary! M Johnson to A Cook, short and wide, Cook doesn’t bother to keep his cut along the ground towards covers and picks up an easy boundary. Johnson has replaced Siddle.

Over 18.5: Boundary! M Johnson to A Cook, half volley, strays onto the pads and Cook flicks it away through mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 18.6: Boundary! M Johnson to A Cook, bangs it short, not a quick pitch at all and Cook has all the time to pull that over mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 20.5: Boundary! M Johnson to A Strauss, short and wide, easy pickings as Strauss flays that over the gully region for a boundary, he could have smacked that anywhere in the off side.

Over 21.2: Boundary! P Siddle to A Cook, short of length delivery, edges that along the ground between gully and point for a boundary that brings up his 20th test fifty.

Over 21.5: Four Byes! P Siddle to A Cook, good length delivery, gets forward and dangerously leaves an indipper which just misses the off stump and Haddin is slow to react!

Over 23.3: Four Byes! P Siddle to A Strauss, bangs it short, thats a horrible one sprayed a mile down the legside and Haddin is helpless about that!

Over 24.2: Single. Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, flatter trajectory delivery, again down the legside and this time Strauss sweeps it to squareleg to bring up the 100!

Over 25.1: Boundary! P Siddle to A Cook, short of length delivery, lifts his front leg up in the air and pulls that flat towards mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 25.5: Three runs. P Siddle to A Cook, pitched up delivery, strays onto the pads and gets flicked away to deep mid wicket for three runs.

Over 26.2: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, flighted delivery, sweeps it solidly along the ground to deep mid wicket and beats Siddle’s slide for a boundary.

Over 26.4: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, quicker and flatter in the air, down the legs and Strauss paddles it along the ground to fine leg for a boundary.

Over 27.4: Boundary! P Siddle to A Cook, half volley, drives that wide one through covers for a boundary.

Over 27.6: Boundary! P Siddle to A Cook, half volley, onto the pads and Cooks puts that away to squareleg boundary with an easy flick shot.

Afternoon Session – England 1st Innings

Over 29.2: Beaten! Ben Hilfenhaus to A Strauss, good length delivery, plays away from his body on the frontfoot and is beaten by that outside off.

Over 30.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to A Cook, flighted delivery, reaches out to that and drives it to covers.

Over 32.4: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to A Cook, flighted delivery, breaks the shackles with a brave slog sweep played wide of the fielder at deep mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 32.6: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to A Cook, flighted delivery, that looks to be a massive slog sweep for a six but no it just falls short of the mid wicket boundary.

Over 35.1: No ball + No runs off the bat. Ben Hilfenhaus to A Strauss, good length delivery, edges that perfect outswinger on the frontfoot and its dropped by Haddin who dives forward to his left! Anyway that was a noball!

Over 35.2: Two runs. Ben Hilfenhaus to A Strauss, pitched up delivery, plays a forceful drive through covers for a couple that brings up his 15th test fifty.

Over 37.4: Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to A Cook, short of length delivery, that one sits up to be hit and Cook plunders that through mid wicket with his pull shot for a boundary.

Over 38.3: Three runs. Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, flatter trajectory delivery, thats a sharp return catch dropped by Hauritz and he has also done a lot of damage to his hand! Strauss stepped out and smacked that flat towards the bowler who wasn’t expecting that!

Hauritz has left the field after taking a smack on his spinning finger!

Over 38.3: Three runs. Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, flatter trajectory delivery, thats a sharp return catch dropped by Hauritz and he has also done a lot of damage to his hand! Strauss stepped out and smacked that flat towards the bowler who wasn’t expecting that! North will complete the over.

Over 42.1: Four Byes! M North to A Strauss, flatter trajectory delivery, gets forward and leaves it outside off and Haddin lets that go through his legs for four byes!

Over 43.3: Boundary! P Siddle to A Strauss, short and wide, cuts that behind point for another boundary.

Over 43.4: Noball + Boundary! P Siddle to A Strauss, good length delivery, thats onto the pads and Strauss whips it away to fine leg for a boundary.

Over 45.1: Boundary! M Johnson to A Strauss, short and wide, more pressure on Johnson and Aus, Strauss cuts that away past point for a boundary. Johnson has replaced Siddle.

Over 65.1: He is Caught! P Siddle to K Pietersen, good length delivery, and KP is gone, he went for an ambitious drive on the up and was squared up with the ball angling in and leaving him late and just taking a feather edge for the keeper.

Over 67.3: Boundary! P Siddle to A Strauss, short and wide, cuts that in the air towards point where Hussey fails to hold onto an over head catch!

Over 68.4: Boundary! M North to P Collingwood, flighted delivery, steps out and lofts it flat between the bowler and mid off for a boundary.
