England 82/5 in 32 Overs (Prior 4* Anderson 0*) in their second innings at the start of play on Day 3.

Morning Session – England 2nd Innings

Over 32.2: Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to J Anderson, short and wide, goes for a flashy cut and its a thick bottom edge that flies past gully for a boundary.

Over 32.3: He is Caught! Ben Hilfenhaus to J Anderson, short and rising delivery, hangs his bat loosely at that outside off and its a regulation catch at second slip.

Over 33.2: Boundary! M Johnson to M Prior , short and rising delivery, flays it away behind square on the off side for a boundary.

Over 35.1: Boundary! M Johnson to M Prior , half volley, plays a superb drives behind point for a boundary to take Eng into three figures.

Over 35.2: Boundary! M Johnson to M Prior , half volley, plays another flowing drive, this one through point but the result is the same.

Over 37.4: Boundary! M Johnson to S Broad, short of length delivery, gets the ball to nip back and produce an inside edge which goes well over the top of stumps for a boundary.

Over 38.6: He is Caught! Ben Hilfenhaus to M Prior , good length delivery, edges that well directed outswinger and its falling down quickly but Haddin pounces onto that to his right with a one handed diving catch!

Over 41.5: Boundary! M Johnson to G Swann, good length delivery, stays back and flashes it uppishly but wide of point for a boundary.

Over 42.1: Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to G Swann, good length delivery, goes for a cut and inside edges it just over the top of his stumps for a boundary.

Over 43.3: Boundary! P Siddle to G Swann, short and rising delivery, connects his pull shot finally and gets a boundary towards squareleg.

Over 45.4: Boundary! P Siddle to S Broad, pitched up delivery, plays a smacking drive to the left of mid off for a boundary.

Over 46.2: Boundary! S Clark to S Broad, pitched up delivery, gets a thick edge in his slashing drive that flies over the slip cordon for a boundary.

Over 46.3: Boundary! S Clark to S Broad, pitched up delivery, reaches out to a wide one and creams that past point for another boundary.

Over 46.5: Boundary! S Clark to S Broad, pitched up delivery, plays a wristy flick over wide mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 46.6: Boundary! S Clark to S Broad, pitched up delivery, lofts that over extra covers for another boundary.

Over 47.5: Five Wides! P Siddle to S Broad, bouncer, goes for a hook and is done in by the high bounce and the keeper has no chance at all.

Over 47.5: Four Byes! P Siddle to S Broad, bouncer, gets beaten trying to attempt a hook and once again Haddin has no chance in stopping that down the legside.

Over 47.6: Boundary! P Siddle to G Swann, good length delivery, smacks that on the up flat in the air between the bowler and mid off for a boundary. And that brings up his fifty. The second bouncer from Siddle was a wide as well.

Over 48.1: Boundary! S Clark to G Swann, short of length delivery, cuts that away in the air behind point for a boundary.

Over 48.4: Boundary! S Clark to G Swann, pitched up delivery, thats a clean hit over the top of wide mid off for a boundary.

Over 48.5: Two runs. S Clark to G Swann, half volley, flicks it uppishly towards deep mid wicket and gets a couple taking Eng past 200.

Over 48.6: Boundary! S Clark to G Swann, bangs it short, pulls it away superbly in the air but wide of deep squareleg for another boundary.

Over 49.3: Boundary! P Siddle to G Swann, short of length delivery, smacks that on the up between the bowler and mid off for a boundary.

Over 49.6: Boundary! P Siddle to S Broad, good length delivery, goes for a lofted shot and miscues it towards long off where Johnson is too close but still tries his best to get under that but all in vain.

Over 50.4: Single. S Clark to G Swann, pitched up delivery, shuffles across and flicks it to mid on for a tight single that brings up the 100 of this stand!

Over 50.6: Boundary! S Clark to S Broad, bangs it short, hooks it in the air with two men in the deep and just manages to beat the man at deep squareleg for a boundary.

Over 51.1: Boundary! P Siddle to G Swann, full toss, slices that nicely behind point for another boundary

Over 51.3: He is Caught! P Siddle to S Broad, bangs it short, plays a flat pull shot which ends up in the safe hands of Watson at deep squareleg.

Over 53.2: Sixer! P Siddle to G Swann, bangs it short, hooks it safely over fine leg for a six that brings up his 2nd Test fifty.

Over 54.1: Boundary! M Johnson to S Harmison, pitched up delivery, plays a slicing drive over point and gets a boundary.

Over 55.6: No runs. Ben Hilfenhaus to S Harmison, pitched up delivery, drills it straight to point. And I am afraid Aus will have to wait for atleast 40 mins to win this game as its now time for Lunch! England 245/8 in 56 Ovs (Swann 58* Harmison 6*)

Afternoon Session – England 2nd Innings

Over 58.2: Single. S Clark to G Swann, good length delivery, gets forward and inside edges it to fine leg to bring up the 250 for Eng.

Over 58.4: Boundary! S Clark to S Harmison, pitched up delivery, shuffles across and flicks it sweetly to the mid wicket boundary.

Over 58.5: Boundary! S Clark to S Harmison, half volley, easy pickings, a little shuffle and then a little tickle to get a boundary towards fine leg.

Over 59.2: He is Caught! M Johnson to G Swann, pitched up delivery, well that looked like another swing and a miss but no there is an appeal from the Aussies and Billy raises his finger up! Just couldn’t find any nick even in the slow mo replay!

Over 59.6: No runs. M Johnson to Graham Onions, pitched up delivery, angles his bat to play that to gully. Swann didn’t get any nick according to the replays and the Hot Spot.

Over 60.3: Boundary! S Clark to S Harmison, pitched up delivery, shuffles across and flicks it brilliantly to the mid wicket boundary.

Over 61.3: Bowled him! M Johnson to Graham Onions, good length delivery, Onions doesn’t cover the line and gets his off stump disturbed by one that comes in a shade. Aus win by an innings and 80 runs.
