England resume Day 5 at an overnight score of 20/2 in 7.0 Ovs (Strauss 6* Pietersen 3*).

Morning Session – England 2nd Innings

Over 7.6: Two Runs. P Siddle to K Pietersen, good length delivery, inside edges his drive on the up which goes through mid wicket.

Over 10.4: Bowled him! Ben Hilfenhaus to K Pietersen, good length delivery, shocking judgement from KP who decides to shoulder arms to one that pitched just around the off stump and nipped back to hit the timber!

Over 10.5: Three runs. Ben Hilfenhaus to P Collingwood, short and wide, drives it away through cover point to open his account with three runs.

Over 16.5: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, on the shorter side, rocks back and cuts the sharp off break through point for a boundary.

Over 16.6: He is Caught! Nathan Hauritz to A Strauss, quicker and flatter in the air, goes back for a cut and this time ends up nicking that to Haddin!!

Over 18.4: Three runs. Nathan Hauritz to M Prior , flighted delivery, goes back and cuts it late towards thirdman for an easy three.

Over 19.1: Boundary! P Siddle to M Prior , good length delivery, looks to drive it on the up and the result is a thick edge that flies down through gully for a boundary.

Over 20.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to P Collingwood, quicker and flatter in the air, goes back and works it to mid wicket. Drinks on the field. England 55/4 in 21 Ovs (Collingwood 11* Prior 7*) and Australia are in charge of this Test match as per most of the sports betting sites.

Over 26.3: He is Caught! Nathan Hauritz to M Prior , flighted delivery, goes back for a cut and is done in by some shockingly extra bounce out of nowhere which hits the glove and flies to slip who takes a diving catch!

Over 33.2: Boundary! Michael Clarke to P Collingwood, full toss, smacks that away through mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 35.2: Boundary! M North to P Collingwood, dragged way too short, that’s a long hop down the legside and Collingwood pulls it down to fine leg for a boundary.

Over 36.3: Three runs. Nathan Hauritz to P Collingwood, on the shorter side, goes back and hammers that through covers to pick up three runs.

Over 36.6: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to A Flintoff, on the shorter side, goes back and hammers it through covers for a boundary. That’s lunch on the final day with England trailing behind by 137 runs with 5 wickets in hand. England 102/5 (Collingwood 35* Flintoff 11*)

Afternoon Session – England 2nd Innings

Over 41.6: Four Leg Byes! M Johnson to P Collingwood, short of length delivery, drags that down the legside and Collingwood gets a deflection off his pad that beats the diving Haddin for a boundary.

Over 42.3: Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to A Flintoff, half volley, drives that strongly through covers for a boundary.

Over 42.6: No ball + Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to A Flintoff, good length delivery, another loose drive on the up and this is a thick edge which could have been caught had there been a second slip in place! But anyway it was a noball.

Over 44.3: Three runs. Ben Hilfenhaus to A Flintoff, pitched up delivery, flicks that uppishly but in the huge gap towards wide mid wicket and the ball fails to roll over to the long boundary.

Over 45.3: Three runs. M Johnson to A Flintoff, short of length delivery, punches that through the big gap towards extra covers and picks up three more runs.

Drinks on the field in this Afternoon Session. England are fighting for a draw with a deficit of 113 with just 5 wickets in hand. There are still 56 overs to be bowled in the day’s play. England 126/5 in 49.0 Ovs (Collingwood 36* Flintoff 26*)

Over 49.4: He is Caught! M Johnson to A Flintoff, good length delivery, over the sticks to Flintoff and makes him play at an away going one on the frontfoot and Freddie jabs at that to edge it straight to Ponting at second slip. That was a low catch from Ponting.

Over 51.5: Three runs. M Johnson to S Broad, short of length delivery, drives it through covers and picks up three.

Over 55.5: Boundary! M North to P Collingwood, on the shorter side, gets back in the crease and pulls that in the air towards mid wicket for a rare boundary.

Over 60.6: Boundary! Nathan Hauritz to P Collingwood, dragged way too short, that’s a long hop, pulls that away to squareleg for a boundary.

Over 61.6: No runs. P Siddle to P Collingwood, pitched up delivery, drives it back to the bowler. Time for the second drinks break. Tea has been pushed back 30 mins late to accommodate 8 extra overs. England 148/6 in 62 Ovs (Collingwood 48* Broad 10*)

Over 63.6: Boundary! P Siddle to S Broad, short of length delivery, edges again and this time the ball flies through the gap between gully and point for a boundary.

Over 66.4: Out LBW! Nathan Hauritz to S Broad, quicker and flatter in the air, thats the arm ball and Broad is not equal to the task in handling that, he was playing for the off break and ended up getting plumb infront.

Over 67.1: Single. P Siddle to P Collingwood, good length delivery, flicks that with the angle to mid wicket to bring up his 14th test fifty.

Over 67.4: Boundary! P Siddle to G Swann, pitched up delivery, strays onto the pads and Swann tickles that to fine leg for a boundary.

Over 70.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to G Swann, flatter trajectory delivery, goes back and pushes it to silly point. That’s Tea on the final day at Cardiff, England have got 3 wickets in hand and are facing a deficit of 70 runs. Another 34 overs they need to survive in the final session. Final Session – England 2nd Innings

Over 73.3: Boundary! P Siddle to G Swann, pitched up delivery, drives the inswinger sweetly past mid off for a boundary.

Over 73.5: Two Leg Byes. P Siddle to G Swann, bangs it short, yet another blow for Swann, this time gets smacked right on the helmet while trying to duck under that. Poor technique, he is just taking his eyes off the ball!!

Over 78.4: Three runs. Nathan Hauritz to G Swann, flatter trajectory delivery, goes back and drives it through extra covers for three runs

Over 79.3: Four Byes! S Katich to G Swann, flighted delivery, draws him forward and beats the defence with a googly that turns away slightly and even Haddin struggles to stop that.

Over 79.6: Two runs. S Katich to G Swann, flatter trajectory delivery, goes back and tickles it to fine leg for a couple. That brings up the 200 for England the deficit comes down to 39 runs. Looks like Aussies are taking the second new ball!

Over 80.4: Beaten! Ben Hilfenhaus to P Collingwood, good length delivery, angles the ball into the right hander and beats him with a perfect outswinger. The second new ball has been taken prior to this delivery.

Over 82.3: Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to G Swann, good length delivery, thats a great ball, sharp inswinger with a lot of bounce and Swann edges that on the frontfoot which flies low between the slips and gully!

Over 82.5: Three runs. Ben Hilfenhaus to G Swann, pitched up delivery, drives that confidently through covers and the outfield continues to be a nightmare as the ball stops on its own in the deep!

Over 83.6: No runs. M Johnson to P Collingwood, short of length delivery, pushes it to covers. Australia are left with less than 22 overs to take these three wickets! The deficit is just 28 runs.

Over 84.2: Boundary! Ben Hilfenhaus to G Swann, half volley, plays a free flowing drive which will find him a rare boundary towards extra covers.

Over 85.3: Boundary! M Johnson to P Collingwood, short and rising delivery, thats down the legside and Collingwood glances it away to the fine leg boundary. Ponting is very angry with that!

Over 86.1: Out LBW! Ben Hilfenhaus to G Swann, short of length delivery, goes for an ambitious pull shot and misses it and the ball strikes him on the thigh pad infront of the stumps and Aleem Dar is happy to give that out lbw! Swann wasn’t tall in his shot, his backleg was bent.

Over 87.6: No runs. M Johnson to P Collingwood, bangs it short, and another wasted delivery, this time down the legside! England trail by 16 runs, 17 overs left in the game.

Over 88.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to P Collingwood, flatter trajectory delivery, Collingwood is struck in the crease and is hit on the pad by the quick turner, he is hit outside the line though! There was no bat in that, so Aleem Dar was right about the lbw and the bat pad catch appeal.

Time for some hard earned drinks break. England trail by 15 runs with two wickets in hand. Australia have got less than 16 overs to win this match. Two overs will be deducted should they bat again! England 224/8 in 89.0 Ovs (Collingwood 74* Anderson 1*).

Over 89.1: No runs. M Johnson to J Anderson, bangs it short, gets hit around his waist in a flick and Collingwood wants a single but is sent back. A dive in the crease saves him from a run out and of course the fielder failed to hit the stumps.

Over 90.1: Three runs. Nathan Hauritz to J Anderson, on the shorter side, goes back and plays a crashing shot through covers and the horrible outfield lets him down!

Over 91.2: Boundary! M Johnson to J Anderson, short and wide, shows a lot of courage in reaching that and cutting that away fiercely through covers for a boundary!

Over 91.6: No runs. M Johnson to J Anderson, pitched up delivery, goes back rather than coming forward and edges it but luckily the ball goes on the ground to second slip. 13 overs left in the match.

Over 92.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to P Collingwood, flighted delivery, pushes the full one to mid off. England trail by 7 runs with 12 more overs to go.

Over 93.3: He is Caught! P Siddle to P Collingwood, short and rising delivery, thats an amazingly loose shot from Collingwood, flaying at that away from his body and its a fast edge that flies to gully where the fielder, Hussey who takes it in the second attempt overhead!

Over 94.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to J Anderson, quicker and flatter in the air, plays a solid forward defence towards gully. England trail by 4 runs. A max of 10 overs left in the game.

Over 95.6: Single. P Siddle to M Panesar , short of length delivery, thats down the legside and Monty tickles it to fine leg which makes Anderson lose the strike! England trail by 3 runs. 9 more overs to go.

Over 97.4: Boundary! P Siddle to J Anderson, pitched up delivery, dabs that wide yorker safely past gully for a boundary and with that England move into the lead by 1 run!!

Over 97.5: Boundary! P Siddle to J Anderson, pitched up delivery, squeezes that wide yorker through backward point and the outfield in that direction is quick enough to take it past the rope!

Over 97.6: No runs. P Siddle to J Anderson, short of length delivery, defends it off the backfoot towards point. England lead by 5 runs. The number of overs left in the day has been reduced from 7 to 5 as Aus will have to bat again!

Over 98.6: No runs. Nathan Hauritz to J Anderson, quicker and flatter in the air, defends it off the frontfoot to covers. England lead by 6 runs. 6 more overs left in the game.
