Australia resume Day 5 at an overnight score of 88/2 in 28 Overs (Watson 34* Hussey 18*).

Morning Session – Australia 2nd Innings

Over 28.6: Two runs. Graham Onions to M Hussey, short of length delivery, clips it to deep backward squareleg for a couple.

Over 30.4: Boundary! Graham Onions to S Watson, short and wide, cuts that between gully and point for a boundary.

Over 31.2: Boundary! A Flintoff to M Hussey, half volley, strides forward to the pitch of the ball and creams that through extra covers for a boundary.

Over 33.6: Boundary! A Flintoff to M Hussey, pitched up delivery, comes over the sticks and provides the width, Hussey plays another lovely cover drive to pick up a boundary.

Over 35.1: Boundary! A Flintoff to M Hussey, bangs it short, gets into a great position and pulls it away through mid wicket for a boundary. Freddie is back to round the sticks.

Over 38.2: Boundary! G Swann to M Hussey, on the shorter side, goes back and cuts it to the cover boundary to take Aus into the lead.

Over 40.1: Three runs. G Swann to S Watson, on the shorter side, goes back and drives it through covers for three runs.

Over 42.4: Boundary! G Swann to S Watson, full toss, flicks the flighted one past the diving mid on for a boundary.

Over 42.6: Boundary! G Swann to S Watson, full toss, drives it away through covers for an easy boundary and that brings up his 3rd Test fifty. At Drinks, Australia 132/2 in 43.0 Overs (Watson 53* Hussey 41*)

Over 43.2: Boundary! J Anderson to M Hussey, short of length delivery, pulls it away forcefully flat in the air over mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 43.6: He is Caught! J Anderson to S Watson, pitched up delivery, plays along the wrong line in his drive thinking that the ball was going to swing in but its a bit of outswing that takes the edge for the keeper!

Over 44.1: Boundary! G Swann to M Hussey, flatter trajectory delivery, goes back and flicks it away to the mid wicket boundary to bring up his 16th test fifty.

Over 45.1: Boundary! J Anderson to Michael Clarke, good length delivery, looks to leave it on the frontfoot but the ball shapes in and takes the middle of the blade before running away to the thirdman boundary.

Over 48.4: Boundary! G Swann to M Hussey, flighted delivery, plays a frontfoot drive to the right of a lazy Anderson at mid off for a boundary.

Over 48.6: Boundary! G Swann to M Hussey, on the shorter side, rocks back and hammers it through extra covers for a boundary.

Over 50.1: Boundary! S Broad to M Hussey, half volley, drives that wide of mid off for a boundary. Broad has replaced Swann.

Over 52.6: He is Caught! S Broad to M Hussey, good length delivery, angles it into the left hander from round the sticks while drawing him forward and its a touch of outswing that catches the edge for the keeper. Hussey too pushed at that one!

Afternoon Session – Australia 2nd Innings

Over 57.1: No runs. Graham Onions to M North, pitched up delivery, strikes the pad low with an inswinging yorker that was clearly heading down the legside.

Over 59.2: Boundary! Graham Onions to Michael Clarke, pitched up delivery, drives it straight down the ground past mid off for a boundary.

Over 60.5: Boundary! S Broad to Michael Clarke, half volley, drives it nicely along the ground past the non striker for a boundary.

Over 63.6: Boundary! Graham Onions to M North, short of length delivery, opens the face of the blade and puts it through the gap towards thirdman for a boundary.

Over 64.2: Boundary! G Swann to M North, quicker and flatter in the air, drives the half volley through covers for a boundary.

Over 65.6: Boundary! A Flintoff to Michael Clarke, good length delivery, goes back and edges it safely past the slip cordon along the ground for a boundary.

Over 83.1: Single. J Anderson to Michael Clarke, good length delivery, strokes it on the up past covers for a single that brings up his 15th test fifty.

Over 86.6: Boundary! Graham Onions to Michael Clarke, pitched up delivery, drives it firmly past the tired mid on for a boundary.

Over 96.6: Two runs. G Swann to M North, flatter trajectory delivery, goes back and whips it to fine leg for a couple.

Over 97.3: Boundary! S Broad to Michael Clarke, pitched up delivery, opens the face and drives it square of the wicket on the off side for a boundary.

Over 98.3: Boundary! G Swann to M North, flatter trajectory delivery, backs away and cuts it fiercely behind point for a boundary.

Over 98.4: Boundary! G Swann to M North, flatter trajectory delivery, makes room and lofts it inside out over long off for a boundary.

Over 99.4: Three runs. S Broad to M North, pitched up delivery, drives it inside out wide of mid off and picks up three easy runs.

Over 105.4: No runs. S Broad to Michael Clarke, good length delivery, gets forward in defence outside off and the ball takes the edge of the pad and goes to the keeper. Oops replays suggest that the ball had brushed not only the pad but also the off stump but the bails didn’t fall down!

Over 107.1: Boundary! S Broad to G Manou, bangs it short, gets on top of the bounce and pulls it away to the mid wicket boundary.

Over 110.6: No runs. R Bopara to Michael Clarke, good length delivery, gets forward and flicks it to mid wicket. Drinks called onto the park and we are just moments away from the match being called off. Australia 367/5 in 111.0 Overs (Clarke 96* Manou 12*)

Over 111.6: Three runs. P Collingwood to Michael Clarke, good length delivery, flicks it through mid wicket and picks up three runs to move onto 99.

Over 112.2: Boundary! R Bopara to Michael Clarke, short of length delivery, pulls it away to the squareleg boundary to bring up his century. And that’s the end of the match! Ricky Ponting has agreed to call off this match along with Strauss, so Edgbaston ends in a draw.
