Australia received a double blow just 2 days before the 1st Super Series ODI, fast bowler Shaun Tait and all rounder Brad Hogg have been injured. The pair would miss out the entire Super Series, Tait sidelined with a shoulder injury would be out of action for atleast 3 months and has to undergo a shoulder surgery. The 22 year old quick had played 2 Tests so far both being in the Ashes and has 5 wickets with a best of 3/97.

Left arm chinaman bowler and a useful lower middle order batsman Brad Hogg injured his knee during training and would be out of reckoning for atleast 3-6 weeks. Hogg has been a useful One Day player for Aussies taking 82 wickets in 68 ODIs and scoring couple of fifties. New South Wales’ quick bowler Stuart Clark would be replacing Tait. Clark, a 30 year old has played county cricket for Middlesex. Brad Hogg has been replaced by 22 year old all rounder Cameron White from Victoria. White is the skipper of Victoria and is a right hand middle order batsman and a leg spinner. Both Clark and White haven’t had a taste of International Cricket.
