thrashed again at Darwin |

Bangladesh once again made mockery of their
ongoing series against the Australians with another
embarrassing result. Yet again they didn't show the potential
that was needed to come anywhere close to competing against
some decent pace attack. This time the Tigers batted first
which meant that the match was only going to be wrapped up
quickly. Bangladesh crumbled to 117 all out in 36.1 overs
which were chased down with ease by the Kangaroos.
The minnows once again won the toss and
their batting struggled in fresh conditions which were well
used by the new ball attack of Nathan Bracken and Stuart
Clark. Mitchell
Johnson like in the first game scared the
Bangladeshis with his rapid pace to pick three wickets while
Bracken and Clark helped themselves with a couple of wickets
each. Just the three batsmen got into double figures with
Wicket Keeper Dhiman Ghosh ending up as the top scorer with a
positive 30 in 36 balls with a four and a six.
The Aussies got to the target in the 23rd
over with Shaun Marsh boosting his batting average with an
unbeaten 69 which came in 81 balls with 9 fours and a six.
Shane Watson, who had come back in the team missed out in
getting a half century, and he could make just 29 (from 33
balls with 3 fours) after opening the batting with Marsh.
Skipper Michael Clarke was the lone casualty for the Aussies
as he got out cheaply for just the one run. Shaun Marsh was
the Man of the Match. Australia lead the 3-ODI Series 2-0 with
the last game to be played at this same venue in Darwin on the
6th.
