In an exciting run chase, Sunrisers Hyderabad bounced back from a losing position to beat Trinidad & Tobago by 4 wickets in a Group B Match (Scorecard) of CLT20 2013 at Mohali on Tuesday. The match went right till the wire with Sunrisers getting to the target of 161 with just three balls to spare. Sri Lanka all-rounder Thisara Perera was the hero or rather the Man of the Match for an all-round performance of 4-0-26-2 and then a heroic knock of 57* from 32 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Trinidad & Tobago posted 160 for 8 in 20 overs with Brian Lara’s duplicate – Darren Bravo scoring a classy 66 from 44 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Sunrisers in their run chase slipped to 95 for 4 in 13.1 overs before Thisara Perera along with some help from Darren Sammy muscled the ball over the park to clinch an unlikely victory.
Sunil Narine’s outstanding spell of 4-1-9-4 went in vain as his bowling colleagues failed to contain Thisara Perera, who hit some big sixes in his unbeaten knock.
