Ian Bell saved the Cape Town TestEngland produced yet another nail-biting draw in the recent years with once again Paul Collingwood playing a crucial role. Collingwood batted out 188 balls for a stubborn 44 along with Ian Bell who produced a 213-ball 78. The pair batted out for nearly 60 overs together.

South Africa fell short of the victory by just the one wicket with England finishing at 296 for 9. No.11 Graham Onions survived the last over and in total played out 11 balls while Graeme Swann at no.10 faced 8 balls before the close. England finished the match at 296 for 9 in 141 overs. Paul Harris toiled hard for 40 overs to take three wickets.
