Kevin Pietersen breaks the silence!

Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen is desperately trying to salvage his career and his reputation by forcing the blame for his dismissal on to his former teammates and coach. Even if he successfully argues that he was bullied, however, it is surely far too late for him to make a comeback.

Pietersen Looking Like a Gambler in Online Casinos

Having been unceremoniously sacked by the England cricket team following their disastrous Ashes tour to Australia last winter, former batsmen Kevin Pietersen has broken his silence on the circumstances surrounding his dismissal. In a last-ditch attempt to resurrect his international career he has sprayed blame around a number of his former colleagues and coaches, and still seemingly refuses to accept any part in his own downfall. With the 34 year old having now been out of the international set up since February his revelations make him look like an online casino gambler willing to go ‘all in’ with his last few chips in the hope of a mighty comeback. If Pietersen was a visitor to online casinos then he could access the best possible software and maximise his experience through http://www.gamblingland.com/software/netent/.NetEnt casinos feature a number of slots focusing on the game of cricket so he would feel very much at home.

Bullying Claims

In recent interviews Pietersenhas suggested that there was a culture of bullying in the England camp and he singled out wicket-keeper Matt Prior and the England bowling attack for particular criticism. One example of the bullying Pietersen claims to have experienced was the setting up of a parody Twitter account by his England team mates in order to mock him. He blames this incident, amongst others, on his infamous texting of the South African team during their tour of England in 2012. Pietersen maintained that he was turning to old friends for support and not sharing tactical information as was claimed at the time.

Kevin Pietersen’s Achievements

Regardless of who was at fault and whether or not Pietersen is the divisive character he has been made out to be in the media, there is no denying his ability and value over the years to the England team.

  • In 2010, Kevin Pietersen became the first batsman to reach 5000 test runs in less than five years of test cricket
  • Kevin Pietersen became the fastest batsman to reach 1000 and 2000 runs in ODI cricket
  • Kevin Pietersen scored 23 centuries in 104 tests for England
  • Kevin Pietersen is England’s highest run scorer in all international cricket combined
  • KP was sacked from the England team despite being top scorer on 2013 Ashes tour

Building Bridges

Kevin Pietersen clearly still thinks that he has a role to play in developing England’s next generation of promising batsmen and has claimed that youngsters regularly contact him for advice. He thinks that he could make the biggest difference to England from within the camp and his recent comments show that he wants to build bridges. Where previously it was thought that Pietersen had fallen out with coach Peter Moores whilst captain of the side in 2008, he now claims that assistant Andy Flower was the problem- it is surely no coincidence that Moores is now back in charge and Flower has moved upstairs. Similarly Pietersen has opted to single out Matt Prior, a man whose international career is looking likely to be over, for criticism whilst maintaining that captain Alistair Cook was placed in a ‘difficult position’ by the ECB.

Too Late?

Kevin Pietersen is clearly desperate to return to the England fold and feels that making amends with Cook and Moores could be his best route back. In all honesty, however, too much water has surely now passed under the bridge for Pietersen to return and his ‘all in’ gamble looks destined to fail.
