Warner apologizes for bar-room brawl; Clarke says he embarassed Australia

Michael Clarke and David Warner | ICC Champions Trophy 2013London, June 14 (ANI): Australian opener David Warner has offered unconditional apologies for the bar-room brawl with England player Joe Root that led to his suspension from the Champions Trophy. In a press conference, Warner said that he is responsible for his actions and is extremely remorseful. Australian skipper Michael Clarke, who accompanied Warner to the press conference, just hours after a disciplinary commission suspended the opening batsman until the start of the first Ashes Test and fined him 7,000, urged Warner to watch his conduct. Clarke said that Warner’s behaviour was unacceptable. Clarke admitted that Australia were deeply embarrassed by the actions of David Warner but vowed it will not deflect them from their goal of regaining the Ashes.
