England have called up Jos Buttler to take over the vacant spot left by Matt Prior for the Third Investec Test at Southampton. Matt Prior had stepped down from the England team for the rest of the summer. Prior who was on the verge of being dropped by the Selectors stated that he wanted to undergo surgery to fix his Achilles problem.
The hosts who are under pressure having lost the Lord’s Test have omitted left-arm spinner Simon Kerrigan. The left-arm spinner was added in the squad for the 2nd Test but wasn’t played and now finds himself completely out of the England squad.
Interestingly the English Selectors have decided to stick with Ben Stokes despite his struggle to score any runs in the series. Ben Stokes has otherwise looked pretty decent with his bowling.
The England vs India, 3rd Investec Test will be played at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. This 3rd Investec Test at Southampton begins on July 27th which is going to be a Sunday.
