The World No.1 Test Team South Africa will host the World No.1 ODI Team India today at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The opening ODI of the 3-match series will be a day/night match starting at 5:00 PM IST this evening.

South Africa go into this series under pressure having lost 1-2 to Pakistan. India on the other hand may have defeated West Indies and Australia in their recent ODI Series but playing in South African conditions will be a different ball game. Having said that the Indian team backs itself to do well in all conditions. They proved that by winning the ICC Champions Trophy in England not so long ago. The batsmen and the bowlers of Team India are quite experienced enough.

Hosts South Africa will be looking to use pace and bounce to get the better of India. The hosts have the bowling firepower in Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel backed up by other bowlers. Jacques Kallis and Graeme Smith will boost their batting through their comebacks in the ODI team.

India could make one change to its team with Umesh Yadav likely to replace Mohit Sharma. The rest of the team selects itself based on their good performances in the recent past. This will be the first time that the exciting fast bowling duo of Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami will be playing for India in South Africa.
