4th ODI at Dharamsala: West Indies win toss and bowl first | Micromax Cup 2014

West Indies have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 4th ODI at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala in the Micromax Cup 2014 ODI Series. There was slight tension during toss time as the entire West Indian squad stood behind their Skipper Dwayne Bravo who announced that the match would go on despite the players not reaching on an agreement with the West Indies Cricket Board regarding their salaries.

The tourists made one change with the tall Jason Holder coming in for Ravi Rampaul. India made a change too but it was a surprising one with left-arm spinner Akshar Patel coming in for Amit Mishra. The hosts are playing two similar left-arm spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel.

The pitch at Dharamsala looks pretty hard with a tinge of grass and some cracks. The ball should come off the pitch quite well and it could assist the seamers. There is going to be a huge problem with the dew in the second half and India who are going to bowl then could suffer unless they make the new balls count on what will be a skidding pitch by then.
