Karnataka are on the winning front thanks to 20-year-old medium pacer Abhimanyu Mithun who wrecked the Uttar Pradesh batting on Day 2 at the Bhamashah Stadium in Meerut. Mithun is on his first class debut for Karnataka. Uttar Pradesh are in the danger of following on at a score of 214 for 7 but they have a good partnership still at the crease from Wicket Keeper Amir Khan (50*) and Praveen Gupta (21*). UP needs another 41 runs to avoid a follow on.
