Ankur Kakkar to lead Punjab Ranji Squad

Ankur Kakkar has replaced veteran Pankaj Dharmani as the Skipper of the Punjab Ranji team. The 30-year-old Kakkar is a left handed middle order bat and a left arm orthodox spinner as well with limited first class experience. Punjab, who failed to qualify for the knock-out stage last year are placed in Group A of the Ranji Super League this season and their first match is against the defending Champions Mumbai at Chandigarh. Former India medium pacer and former National Selector – Bhupinder Singh (Senior) will be the Coach of Punjab. The 15-man squad is for the first two matches against Mumbai and Hyderabad.
