AT Rayudu recalled in Hyderabad Ranji Team

Dashing middle order batsman AT Rayudu has been recalled in the Hyderabad Ranji Squad to face Himachal Pradesh and Punjab in the Group A Ranji Trophy Super League matches. The 24-year-old Ambati Rayudu moved away from the mainstream cricket to play in the rebel Indian Cricket League for a couple of years. With the ICL packing off and the BCCI coming up with an amnesity offer for the cricketers, Rayudu decided to come back under the Hyderabad Cricket Association.

The Hyderabad Selectors have named a 15-man squad to be led by Test Star VVS Laxman. N Arjun Yadav has been named as his deputy. Also coming back into the Hyderabad team from the ICL fold are wicket keeper Ibrahim Khaleel, left hander Anirudh Singh and medium pacer Alfred Absolom. Former Indian left arm spinner and former National Selector Venkatapathy Raju is the Coach of the Hyderabad Ranji Team. Hyderabad begins it Ranji Season by hosting Himachal Pradesh from November 3-6 and then tours Mohali to play against Punjab.
