BCCI rests key players for Challenger Trophy

The BCCI has rested several top players for the upcoming NKP Salve Challenger Trophy to be held in Ahmedabad from the 25th to 28th of this month. Captain MS Dhoni along with several other big names have not been included in any of the three squads keeping in mind of a packed international schedule. Along with Dhoni, the names of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh are just among a few players to be rested for this tournament.

None of the players who have signed up with the Indian Cricket League have been picked leaving this season’s Challenger’s Trophy to be played between completely inexperienced but promising cricketers of the country.
Mohammad Kaif will be leading the India Red Side while Virender Sehwag has been handed the captaincy of the India Blue side. India Green Side will be led by wicket keeper Parthiv Patel. The Challenger Trophy will be hugely important for the likes of Virender Sehwag, Munaf Patel and Suresh Raina to force a comeback in the National Side.
