Deccan Chargers kept their Semi Finals hopes alive by defeating the strong Royal Challengers Bangalore at Nagpur. Despite posting only 151 for 6, DC went on to win the contest by 13 runs. Rahul Dravid scored 49 from 35 balls and Robin Uthappa came up with a sizzling 34 from 20 balls yet RCB couldn’t cross the line. The RCB team was bitterly stung by the turn of Pragyan Ojha (4-0-22-2) and Man of the Match – Harmeet Singh whose nagging leg cutters accounted to 2 for 24 in 4 overs.
Deccan Chargers seemed to be in deep trouble to begin with when they slipped to 14 for 3 before being rescued by Rohit Sharma (51 from 46 balls) and Monish Mishra (41 from 30 balls). Dale Steyn was superb with his 3 for 18 in 4 overs for the RCB team.
