MS Dhoni Chennai Super KingsIt probably took just three or fours overs for the KKR-CSK match to change its complexion totally and that was when MS Dhoni decided to free his shoulders and go berserk. Since then, it was all Chennai Super Kings dominating the Kolkata Knight Riders and the result was a sound drubbing by 55 runs for the hosts.

Batting first, CSK never got going against some tidy swing and seam bowling from Bond, Ishant and others. The struggle was so much for the Super Kings that Skipper MS Dhoni had to take a 145 kmph blow on his right elbow from Shane Bond! However, Dhoni showed that he was a true warrior and along with Badrinath powered CSK to a competitive 164 for 3. Dhoni, who got the Man of the Match remained unbeaten on 66 from 33 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Badrinath, who had a terrible collision with him mid pitch did well for his 43 from 33 balls (with 3 fours and a six).

Kolkata Knight Riders chasing a moderate total were done in by some clever seam bowling from CSK. They found themselves out of the contest at 55 for 5 with bowlers like Albie Morkel, Manpreet Gony and L Balaji hitting the pitch and getting the ball to nip in and nip away. The Knight Riders in the end just managed to cross three figures before getting bowled out in 19.2 overs. Justin Kemp was another seamer who did well on a responsive pitch and he came up with 3 for 12.
