Cape Cobras eased to an 8-wicket win over a strong Victoria at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Cobras have now secured a place in the Semis as they already carried two points from their victory in the previous round. The start of the match was delayed by an hour and forty minutes due to the security concerns raised by the arrest of a junior cricketer from the stadium after his kit bag had traces of some explosive material.

The match was a non-starter with both the foreign teams getting jittery but after getting pacified by the Karnataka Police, they decided to go ahead with the match. Victoria batted first after winning the toss and could post just 125/5 in the reduced 17 overs contest. None of the batsmen got going ever since Victoria lost two wickets in the first over of the match from Monde Zondeki. Cobras got to the target through an unbeaten stand of 89 between Henry Davids (69* from 54 balls) and JP Duminy (18*).
