Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Dammika Prasad has been ruled out from the second Test at Kanpur which begins tomorrow. Prasad who had clocked speeds of over 145 kmph had strained his hamstring on Day 4 of the first Test at Ahmedabad.

Dilhara Fernando could take the place of Dammika Prasad in tomorrow’s match. Dilhara Fernando was flown in a few days back to replace left armer Thilan Thushara who was sidelined due to a shoulder injury. Sri Lanka would also be looking to include Ajantha Mendis in place of Rangana Herath.

The visitors had an injury scare during the last three days with inform batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan fracturing his nose while playing football. Dilshan is though fit enough to play cricket and has been cleared to feature in the Kanpur’s Test.

India too had their share of trouble ahead of the second test with doubts on the availability of Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The Indian Skipper had done some damage to his finger during the Ahmedabad Test while trying to take a low ball. Dhoni too has been declared fit to play the Test and his cover Dinesh Karthik was sent back to play in the Ranji Trophy after an initital SOS from the team management.
