Mumbai Indians registered yet another victory, this time beating Deccan Chargers by a whopping margin of 63 runs at the Brabourne Stadium. Batting first, Mumbai reached a very good total of 178 for 5 on a track that was providing plenty of assistance to the spinners.

Left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha bowled beautifully for his 3 for 26 in 4 overs, flighting the ball and mixing them up with the arm balls. His Hyderabad teammate AT Rayudu playing for the Mumbai Indians sparkled with a superb unbeaten 55 from 29 balls (with 6 fours and 2 sixes). Rayudu got the Man of the Match for his efforts. Sachin Tendulkar with 35 (from 25 balls) and Saurabh Tiwary with 44 (from 35 balls which included 3 sixes) and Kieron Pollard with 21 (from 10 balls) were the other contributors.

Deccan Chargers in reply slipped out of the track losing Gibbs, Gilchrist and Rohit Sharma cheaply. The moment Andrew Symonds was clean bowled by McLaren, the match was as good as over in the 12th over with DC at 81 for 5. They were eventually bowled out for 115 in 18.2 overs.
