A superb fielding performance saw Deccan Chargers defeat Delhi Daredevils in a virtual Quarter Final at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. The visitors successfully defended a moderate total of 145 courtesy of three brilliant catches from Rohit Sharma that saw the early departures of Warner, Sehwag and Gambhir! Deccan Chargers went on to win the match by 11 runs despite a rearguard innings of 51* from 42 balls (with 3 sixes) by Paul Collingwood.

Deccan Chargers were in desperate trouble batting first and without Andrew Symonds blistering knock of 54 (from 30 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes) would have got nothing really on the board. Daredevils failed in their clean up job and conceded a few extra runs to the tail enders.

Having posted 145 for 7, DC reduced Daredevils to 39 for 4 in the 7th over! Inspite of having the team filled up with batsmen, Delhi Daredevils couldn’t get back into the game. Chaminda Vaas, who came back into the side bowled superbly for his 1 for 19 in 4 overs. The left armer won the game for DC by bowling a tight last over filled up with yorkers. Pragyan Ojha was once again consistent and he came up with 2 for 16 in 4 overs on a slow and low turning track.
