For Sussex, Rory Hamilton-Brown controlled the final overs with his quick off breaks and gave absolutely nothing. Ryan McLaren came up with two crucial boundaries – one of them was in the final ball of the innings which forced a dramatic tie. In the Super over, Eagles scored 9 runs while Sussex were all out for a duck with Cornelius de Villiers striking the timber twice in consecutive balls.
