Franklin to replace injured Ryder for ODI Series

James FranklinAll-rounder James Franklin who flew to India as the replacement of the injured quick bowler Hamish Bennett during the Test Series has been asked to stay back to take part in the upcoming 5-ODI Series. Franklin gets his opportunity as the injured Jesse Ryder returns back home with a calf muscle strain that has crippled him almost since the first Test. Ryder had aggravated the injury further during the final Test which New Zealand lost by an innings.

James Franklin is an experienced campaigner with 75 ODIs under his belt. Franklin who bowls left arm swing has a test match hundred as well to his credit to tag him as an all-rounder.
