Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Zaheer Khan have been named in the three squads taking part in this season’s Challenger Series. The Triangular Tournament featuring India Seniors, India A and India B will be playing four matches between August 1 and August 4 at Chennai with all the matches being day/night encounters. Rahul Dravid will lead the Seniors Team while Y.Venugopal Rao and Mohammad Kaif will be leading the India A and the India B Teams respectively. Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman have been put up in Kaif’s team whereas Zaheer Khan has been put in the India B Team. This tournament will also see the comeback of pacers Ashish Nehra and Lakshmipathy Balaji who are both put in the India B Team. Incidentally this Selection of these squads was the last one for Kiran More, the Chairman of the National Selection Committee whose tenure has come to an end today.
