Kolkata Knight Riders managed to beat Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets with 23 balls to spare at the Eden Gardens. Needing just 133 for a win, KKR were on the backfoot after the early loss of McCullum and Gayle. However an unbeaten 111-run stand between Ganguly (75* from 50 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes) and Cheteshwar Pujara (45* from 38 balls) saw the hosts through.

Rajasthan Royals could come up with a weak 132 for 9 after opting to bat first. Shane Watson was the top scorer with a 26-ball 44. KKR’s Left arm medium pacer Jaidev Unadkat bowled a tight spell of 4-0-26-3 and was later given the Man of the Match award.
