Hello friends, welcome to what could be the match of this Champions Trophy – a mouth watering contest between India and Pakistan at Centurion. The toss has gone in favour of Pak and they will bat first. Younis is back for them.
Pakistan Innings
Over 0.2: Single. Ashish Nehra to I Nazir, short and wide, cuts it to point and finds a diving stop from Raina, the ball deflects to covers and a direct hit would have sent Nazir packing at the bowling end.
Over 1.1: Boundary! R P Singh to I Nazir, pitched up delivery, drives it uppishly but well in the gap between the non striker and mid off for a boundary.
Over 1.3: Boundary! R P Singh to K Akmal, pitched up delivery, drives the juicy one uppishly to the left of mid off for a boundary.
Over 2.2: Boundary! Ashish Nehra to I Nazir, short and wide, gives everything in his backfoot drive that disappears through extra covers for a boundary.
Over 3.3: Boundary! R P Singh to I Nazir, short of length delivery, nothing wrong with that from RP but its a solid crunchy punch down the ground past the non striker for a boundary.
Over 3.6: Boundary! R P Singh to I Nazir, short of length delivery, not a bad ball but the pitch is on the slower side and Imran plays a flowing wristy drive through covers for a boundary.
Over 4.2: He is Caught! Ashish Nehra to I Nazir, short of length delivery, goes for an ambitious pull shot rather a rash one and the ball is miscued in the air towards the mid wicket and mid on region and is safely caught by Harbhajan! Nehra seems to have found just enough zip in that short delivery.
Over 4.6: Boundary! Ashish Nehra to K Akmal, short of length delivery, thats an Imran nazir kind of pull shot but Kamran seems to have got hold of it and has made decent connection to get it over wide mid on for a boundary.
Over 5.3: Boundary! I Sharma to Younis, short of length delivery, drifts onto the pads and Younis works that through fine leg for an easy boundary.
Over 5.4: Boundary! I Sharma to Younis, short and wide, smacks that past Raina at square covers for a boundary.
Over 6.4: Boundary! Ashish Nehra to K Akmal, short of length delivery, picks the length early and plays a solid flat pull over short mid wicket for a boundary.
Over 8.5: Bowled him! Ashish Nehra to K Akmal, short of length delivery, looks to play a forcing drive but can only manage an inside edge which luckily for India crashes onto the stumps!
Over 11.6: No runs. I Sharma to S Malik, good length delivery, plays a spanking drive on the up to Gambhir at mid off. Well thats consecutive maidens for Ishant! Just the one run came in the last three overs!
Over 13.6: Boundary! I Sharma to Younis, short and wide, cuts it away wristily and perfectly between point and square covers for a boundary.
Over 14.4: He is Caught! R P Singh to Younis, good length delivery, shuffles across and pokes at an away going one and thats a thin edge taken by MSD. Lovely line from RP, angled it in and probably got it to hold its line.
Over 15.2: Boundary! I Sharma to S Malik, good length delivery, stays back and plays a late cut past the keeper and ends up beating Harbhajan at thirdman for a boundary.
Over 26.3: Single. Y Pathan to M Yousuf, flighted delivery, goes back and nudges it softly to point for a single that brings up the 50 of this 4th wicket stand.
Over 27.6: Five Wides! Harbhajan to S Malik, flighted delivery, pushes it down the legside needlessly and neither the keeper nor short fine leg can stop that!
Over 31.3: Boundary! Y Pathan to M Yousuf, quicker and flatter in the air, stays back and guides it nicely using the bowler’s pace for a boundary to thirdman. Thats the first boundary for Pak in 65 balls!
Over 32.5: Boundary! Harbhajan to S Malik, flighted delivery, goes back and plays a late cut to that doosra that runs away fine past the keeper for a boundary.
Over 33.1: Boundary! Y Pathan to M Yousuf, flighted delivery, goes back and plays yet another late cut past the keeper for a boundary.
Over 33.5: Boundary! Y Pathan to S Malik, quicker and flatter in the air, goes back and cuts it beautifully behind point for a boundary.
Over 35.1: Boundary! I Sharma to S Malik, short and wide, plays a smacking cut over backward point for a boundary, that takes him to his 32nd ODI fifty. Ishant has replaced Yusuf.

Over 1.6: Boundary! Naved-ul-Hasan to S Tendulkar, short and wide, plays a crunchy drive that races away past point for a boundary.
Over 2.2: Boundary! Mohammad Aamer to Gambhir, good length delivery, strays onto the pads and Gauti plays a stylish flick flat in the air over squareleg for a one bounce boundary.
Over 3.6: Boundary! Naved-ul-Hasan to Gambhir, full toss, that was perhaps a slower one and Gambhir heaved it nicely off the middle through mid wicket for his second boundary.
Over 4.1: He is Caught! Mohammad Aamer to S Tendulkar, short of length delivery, feels for the away going one and opens the face to nick it behind and Kamran takes a nice diving catch!
Over 4.6: Boundary! Mohammad Aamer to R Dravid, short and wide, plays a spanking cut that races away behind point for a boundary.
Over 5.6: Five Wides! Naved-ul-Hasan to Gambhir, bouncer, ducks under that and Kamran has no chance in stopping that.

U Gul to R Dravid, pitched up delivery, drives it straight to mid off and Gambhir is sent back but its too late for him as he is defeated by a strong direct throw! That was a waste of a precious wicket, Gambhir too itchy to get the strike, the call was obviously Dravid’s.

Over 15.3: Boundary! U Gul to R Dravid, pitched up delivery, clears his frontfoot and smacks the free hit ball flat over wide mid on for a boundary to take India past 100.
Over 17.5: Boundary! U Gul to V Kohli, good length delivery, goes back and guides it safely along the ground past slip for a boundary.
Over 21.3: He is Caught! S Afridi to V Kohli, flighted delivery, steps out and lofts it straight into the hands of Umar Gul at long off who appears to put it down but manages to hold onto it in the end.
Over 23.5: Out LBW! S Afridi to M S Dhoni, quicker and flatter in the air, steps out and is hit on the pad, another massive shout for an lbw and this time Taufel gives that out! Dhoni was miles down the track!
Over 28.3: Boundary! U Gul to S Raina, good length delivery, plays a brilliant drive on the up that sails flat over point for a boundary.
Over 28.5: Sixer! U Gul to S Raina, short of length delivery, swings his arms across and launches that over the bowler’s head for a six! Raina was playing golf and not cricket!
Over 29.5: Boundary! S Afridi to S Raina, flighted delivery, steps out and plays an amazing drive past extra covers for a boundary.
Over 30.4: Boundary! U Gul to S Raina, short of length delivery, flashes at that high over backward point for a boundary.
Over 32.3: Boundary! S Malik to S Raina, flighted delivery, stretches forward and plays a powerful flat slog sweep over wide mid wicket for a boundary.

Over 38.2: He is Caught! Mohammad Aamer to Y Pathan, good length delivery, goes hard at the ball with his drive and can only edge it to the lone slip who holds onto the sharp chance.
Over 39.3: Boundary! Naved-ul-Hasan to R Dravid, short of length delivery, flicks it off his pads past deep squareleg for a boundary.
Over 41.1: Two runs. Naved-ul-Hasan to R Dravid, pitched up delivery, drives it straight past the bowler for a couple. India have taken the batting powerplay.

Naved-ul-Hasan to R Dravid, pitched up delivery, drives the slower one to deep covers and completes a second run, Dravid turns back for the third which wasn’t there and he has no chance of turning back to safety! Dravid has not only got run out but also seems to have twisted his leg slightly!
