The fourth and final ODI between West Indies and India has been delayed by 30 minutes atleast as the Umpires reckon that there are some damp patches on the pitch and on the outfield.
MS Dhoni has won the toss yet again and he has elected to field first. The reason is simple as the pitch appears to be damp! There is also some rain expected anytime. Oops rain has arrived folks and we have a delay again!!
Welcome back play about to get underway, the match has been only reduced to a 49-over contest!
West Indies Innings
Over 0.2: He is Caught! I Sharma to C Gayle, pitched up delivery, thats the revenge for Ishant in this series, this one is a pacy away going one and Gayle is only half forward and can only nick it behind!
Over 0.6: Two runs. I Sharma to Runako Morton, short of length delivery, drives it through the huge gap between point and covers and will get a couple from the heavy outfield.
Over 2.3: Two runs. I Sharma to R Sarwan, pitched up delivery, allows the ball to stray onto his pads and then deflects it to backward squareleg for a couple.
Over 3.3: Three runs. Ashish Nehra to Runako Morton, short of length delivery, drives that wide one through covers and the outfield is painfully slow!
Over 4.6: Beaten! I Sharma to R Sarwan, short and rising delivery, goes for an ambitious pull shot and is beaten by that away going seamer, the Indians went up in for a caught behind appeal but it just appeared that the ball only deviated away a long way.
Over 5.2: Beaten! Ashish Nehra to Runako Morton, short of length delivery, thats a nasty lifter out of nowhere and Morton almost nicks that behind!
Over 6.2: Two runs. I Sharma to Runako Morton, short and wide, cuts it away to square thirdman for an easy two.
Over 6.3: Two runs. I Sharma to Runako Morton, bangs it short, miscues his pull in the air towards mid on and Yuvraj makes a valiant leap throwing his body backwards but can’t take that catch.
Over 6.5: Three runs. I Sharma to R Sarwan, good length delivery, strokes it sweetly on the up through covers and once again the heavy outfield denies the boundary.
Over 7.1: Two runs. Ashish Nehra to R Sarwan, good length delivery, goes back and drives it through covers for a couple.
Over 7.2: No runs. Ashish Nehra to R Sarwan, good length delivery, gets forward and turns it across to mid wicket. Rain expected anytime again!
Over 7.4: No ball + No runs off the bat. Ashish Nehra to R Sarwan, good length delivery, stays back and chops it to point. There will be a free hit once we resume play for now – Rain has stopped play!
Terrible news folks, its raining cats and dogs at Gros Islet and I reckon we might have seen the last ball of the match!! Tony Cozier has just mentioned that the drainage facilities at the Beausejour Stadium is not that good enough!
