India post comprehensive win in Durban T20I

Rohit Sharma DurbanIndia won the Only T20I at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban by a comprehensive margin of 21 runs. It was a low scoring match with the pitch being of a sluggish nature in both pace and bounce. The visitors batting first after winning the toss posted a competitive total of 168 for 6 with one drop batsman Rohit Sharma scoring 53 from 34 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Suresh Raina, who came in at no.6 provided the finishing blows with a 23-ball 41 which contained 2 fours and 3 sixes.

South Africa in their chase were going on well with opener Morne van Wyk striking the ball big with a 39-ball 67 with 5 fours and 5 sixes. However, it was a Yuvraj Singh over that changed the match with the run out of AB de Villiers and an lbw of JP Duminy in the space of four balls tilted the match towards India. Once Morve van Wyk got out, the match was as good as over and India picked up wickets at the right time while also cutting down on the boundaries and sixes.

The hosts finished with 147 for 9 in the 20 overs. Ashish Nehra was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 22 in 4 overs while Yuvraj Singh played a crucial part with his 1 for 20 in 4 overs. The Man of the Match went to Rohit Sharma.
