Toss : MS Dhoni called ‘tails’ correctly to win the toss and has elected to bat first in the second Test at the Green Park in Kanpur.

Team News : India have made two changes with Sreesanth replacing Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ojha making his Test Debut with leggie Amit Mishra making way for the Hyderabadi. Sri Lanka are playing three spinners with Ajantha Mendis replacing the injured Dammika Prasad.

Pitch and Weather Conditions : The conditions at the moment are looking hazy at Kanpur and the new ball is expected to swing around. There is also the early morning dew which could have got onto the pitch as well and will help the ball to seam around. Spinners should also be able to get some turn because of the moisture.

The pitch seems to be dry in nature and although there is a bit of grass cover, it should break as the game progresses. The pitch at Green Park is also expected to keep very low. Reverse swing should also come into play because of the abrasive nature of the wicket. The onus will be on India to come up with a big total as batting will not be all that easy in the last two days of the Test match.
