Graeme Smith KolkataWith less than a couple of days to go for the second and final Test at Kolkata, South Africa got a crucial blow with Skipper Graeme Smith injuring his little finger of his bottom hand. Though a hairline fracture has been ruled out by the X-ray, Smith has been diagnosed with a ligament damage. There is swelling around the little finger which the South African Skipper will be looking to bring it down in the next few hours.

Interestingly no player has been named as the Vice-Captain for this tour. So it will be guess work on who will be leading SA if Smith is ruled out. The replacement for left handed opener is straightforward with Alviro Petersen available in the reserves.
