IPL 2020: IPL Teams – So Much Talent to Look out For

Since the announcement was made that the IPL 2020 would resume, despite the novel Corona Pandemic, cricket fans from all over the world have been anxiously awaiting an epic tournament. The IPL is scheduled to begin the 19th of September with many big names in IPL history featuring in the line-up, ensuring that this year’s tournament will be one for the books. There are a few players to look out for during the fixtures that have been called the “trump cards” for their respective teams.

Foreign Players

Fans might be familiar with some of these names from previous IPL live score sites but these foreign players have been making waves ever since they first started playing in the tournament. Kolkata Knight Riders are the team that Andre Russel, a formidable batsman, belongs to. He is well-known for completely devastating a bowling line-up and has been featured in many cricket tournaments where he plays the role of the x-factor. This is mainly due to the disappointment from last year’s tournament that he is keen to bounce back from. Glenn Maxwell will be playing for Kings XI Punjab. The Australian all-rounder will admit a lot of value to the team as the UAE conditions suit his style very well, which he will be taking advantage of in his middle-order position.

Indian Players

Since the IPL is an Indian Tournament, there will always be a lot of talent that originates from this country. Seven out of eleven players from every team have to be Indian according to IPL rules. Rishab Pant is one of the most talented Indian Cricket players in the sport right now. He will be playing for Delhi Capitals again this year. He shows great promise in leading the team to a favourable position since he was the official best batsman for the team in the last tournament. Hardik Pandya was voted the best player for Mumbai Indians last year will be representing the team again in the upcoming IPL. It is expected that Pandya will continue being the trump card for the Mumbai Indians, bring his high-intensity version of cricket to the field. Lastly, there is Rashid Khan from Sunrisers Hyderabad who is a wicked bowler. He has spent much of his preparation time honing his batting skills, which will make him a player to certainly keep an eye out for in the upcoming games.

Despite the onset of a global pandemic, strict health and safety regulations, and travel bans, the IPL 2020 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting tournaments yet.
