Karnataka beat Baroda by an innings and 102 runs

Hosts Baroda lost to Karnataka by an innings and 102 runs on the third day’s play at Vadodara. Baroda after getting bowled out for 153 in their first innings in reply to Karnataka’s 488 were asked to follow on. Skipper Irfan Pathan remained unbeaten on 68. For Karnataka, Mithun picked up four wickets in the first innings.

Baroda in their second essay were bowled out in 60.1 overs for 233. Irfan Pathan followed his first innings 68 with a 79-ball 81 but found no support from the rest of the Baroda players. Once again the pace trio of Vinay, Mithun and Aravind shared the spoils.
