Hosts Karnataka battled to reach 255 for 4 in the opening day’s play of their Semi Final match against Uttar Pradesh. Left arm quick RP Singh did the damage for the visitors taking the wickets of two well set batsmen – KB Pawan (52) and Ganesh Satish (49) in the same over. Karnataka recovered after that double strike through a 109-run stand between Skipper Rahul Dravid (37* from 115 balls) with Manish Pandey (66 with 11 fours).
