India won the Asia Cup 2010 by defeating hosts Sri Lanka by 81 runs in the Final at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Batting first after winning the toss, India could post 268 for 6 with opener Dinesh Karthik top scoring with 66 (from 84 balls with 9 fours). In their chase, Sri Lanka got bowled out for just 187 in 44.4 overs with left arm pacer Ashish Nehra capturing 4 for 40. Only Chamara Kapugedera came good with an unbeaten 55 for the homeside.
Dinesh Karthik got the Man of the Match award while Pakistan Skipper Shahid Afridi was the Player of the Series.
