Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Anil Kumble have made their entry into the Semi Finals at the cost of Lions after beating them in a virtual Quarter Final at Johannesburg. In an exciting chase, RCB pulled off a 6-wicket win with an over to spare to get to the target of 160. The chase was guided by Man of the Match – Virat Kohli who struck an unbeaten 49 from 24 balls (with 4 fours and 2 sixes). This was after a solid opening from Rahul Dravid (33) and Manish Pandey (44) which helped RCB to 85 for 2 inside 12 overs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Lions who were threatening to get a big total were restricted to 159 for 6 with Anil Kumble tightening things up with his 4-0-13-1. Skipper Alviro Petersen was looking in great touch with a 29-ball 45 (with 3 fours and 2 sixes) before getting cleaned up by Kumble.
