Charl Langeveldt has decided to opt out of the Indian tour because of his controversial selection.

Langeveldt was selected ahead of Andre Nel because of Cricket South Africa’s policy of having a fixed number of black players in the squad which didn’t go well with both the fast bowlers.

Monde Zondeki, the 25-year-old fast bowler has been named as Langeveldt’s replacement.

Zondeki had played 5 Tests and 11 ODIs ever since making his international debut in 2003.

Zondeki’s promising career as a South African fast bowler was cut short because of his injury problems.

But he finally seems to have come back from all that strongly from the last season and has also been awarded with a contract with English County – Warwickshire.

South Africa’s revised Test Squad : Graeme Smith (Captain), Ashwell Prince (Vice-Captain), Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher (Wicket Keeper), AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Paul Harris, Jacques Kallis, Neil McKenzie, Morne Morkel, Makhaya Ntini, Robin Peterson, Dale Steyn and Monde Zondeki
