Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by a huge margin of 57 runs. The match was a non-starter after news broke out that there were a couple of low intensity bomb blasts just outside the stadium at about 3:15 PM. However after an hour’s delay, it finally got underway with no overs cut. Mumbai Indians put into bat first scored 191 for 4 despite Steyn’s 4-0-18-0.

AT Rayudu (46 from 27 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes) and JP Duminy (42* from 19 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes) were the stars with the bat for Mumbai Indians. All-rounder Ryan McLaren who got promoted as an opener scored 40 along with 1 for 21 in 4 overs to pick up the Man of the Match.

RCB for once weren’t smart in their chase and could come up with a disappointing 134 for 9. The hosts lost too many wickets in their first half to be out of the contest. Kieron Pollard was the most successful bowler for Mumbai Indians taking three wickets.
