Another wicket has gone down for Australia in the ongoing 7-ODI Series against India. Their joy of winning the 4th ODI and squaring up the series 2-2 has been shortlived with the news of Peter Siddle’s injury. The Victorian fast bowler now head back to Australia with physiotherapist Kevin Sims ruling him out for atleast one week due to a side strain. Siddle will now join back Tim Paine, Brett Lee and James Hopes who had returned to Australia midway through the Indian tour.

The replacement for Siddle hasn’t been named but its likely to be the deadly left arm fast bowler Dirk Nannes. Siddle bowled fabulously well in yesterday’s day-night affair at Mohali with a spell of 5-2-15-0 to keep the likes of Sehwag and Tendulkar quiet. It was surprising that he wasn’t used beyond the opening spell but now the reason is very clear.
