Karnataka made it to the Semi Finals having taken the crucial first innings lead on the third day. Punjab was left stranded batting only for a formality on the third and fourth days. Punjab declared their second innings at 367 for 6 having resumed the day’s play on 165 for 1. Mayank Sidhana (50) and Uday Kaul (86) enjoyed their batting opportunities. Karnataka in their second innings finished at 42 for 1 in the little time left in the match.
