Rahul Sharma not to play in 1st ODI against Sri LankaJalandhar/ Mathura, July 21 (ANI): Rahul Sharma won’t be playing the first of the five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka starting today after the Mumbai Police confirmed that he along with South African cricketer Wayne Parnell were among the 44 people including foreign nationals who tested positive for consuming drugs during a rave party recently busted by police in Mumbai. Meanwhile IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla has said that the BCCI is not going to decide anything in haste and they will study the police report before taking any strict action against the cricketer. However, speaking to media persons Rahul’s father, Pradeep Sharma complained of foul play. Meanwhile, Rahul’s coach, Surjit Rai Bitta said that Rahul had suffered paralysis attack and he was taking steroids for that which might be the reason for his positive reports.
