It was only a difference of a 2-run first innings lead that helped Railways take three points from its drawn match against Hyderabad. Resuming the fourth day’s play at 18 for 0 in their second innings, Railways flayed the Hyderabad bowling to finish the match at 363 for 5.

Middle order bat TP Singh got to a century before the match was called off. Also amongst the runs on the final day were V Cheluvaraj (93) and Yere Goud (72*). For Hyderabad, left arm medium pacer Abdul Khader took three wickets.
