A smashing 137-run stand for the 2nd wicket between Opener Murali Vijay (68 from 46 balls with 9 fours and a six) and Man of the Match – Suresh Raina (87 from 44 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes) batted out Wayamba out of the match even before their innings had begun. Wayamba surrendered meekly to get bowled out for 103 in 17.1 overs with Albie Morkel taking three top order wickets and Off Spinner R Ashwin capturing 4 for 18 in 4 overs.
