Rajasthan Royals scored an easy win over the hapless Kings XI Punjab at Jaipur. Batting first on a good wicket, Kings XI Punjab could put up only 153 for 6 with not even one single boundary scored in their last five overs! Mahela Jayawardene was the top scorer with a 33-ball 44 while Yuvraj showed a few sparks by hitting three sixes in his 28.
Kings XI Punjab after that put up a substandard performance with the ball and on the field to allow Rajasthan Royals run away with the target in just 15 overs. Michael Lumb seized the opportunity to smash 83 from 43 balls (with 16 fours and 2 sixes) while his fellow opener Naman Ojha remained unbeaten on 44 from 37 balls.
