Praveen Kumar BangaloreHosts Royal Challengers Bangalore crushed Rajasthan Royals with a 10-wicket win after chasing down a mediocre target of 93 with 56 balls to spare. A vulnerable batting line up of the Rajasthan Royals was found wanting and softened up by the express fast bowling of Dale Steyn who didn’t have any wickets but his 150 kmph speeds kept them on the defensive. Praveen Kumar (3 wickets), Kallis (2 wickets) and Skipper Anil Kumble (3 wickets)benefited from the pressure put on Steyn to get amongst the wickets.

The Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 92 in 19,5 overs after being put to bat first. Praveen Kumar clinched the first hat-trick of this edition of the IPL by yorking Damien Martyn, bouncing out Sumit Narwal and then cleaning up Paras Dogra in consecutive balls in the 17th over. The top scorer for the visitors was Yusuf Pathan who scored 26 with two sixes but was lucky to get atleast two lives.

The target of 93 was achieved without a fuss by openers Manish Pandey (42* from 30 balls with 7 fours and a six) and Man of the Match Jacques Kallis (44* from 34 balls with 7 fours). The Rajasthan Royals bowling led by Munaf Patel and Morne Morkel was horrible to say the least.
