Rohit Sharma scored 133* at DelhiMumbai finished at a commanding 338 for 5 at Stumps on Day 1 in their Ranji encounter against hosts Railways at Delhi. Batting first after winning the toss, the visitors had a poor start at 97 for 3. However, Mumbai fought back through a strong counter attack stand of 180 between middle order bats Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav (88 from 121 balls with 14 fours). Rohit remained unbeaten by the close on 133 (from 214 balls with 14 fours and a six).

The visiting Mumbai gave Debut to 21-year-old opener Kaustubh Pawar who scored 31 while Railways gave Debut to the 22-year-old batsman Nitin Bille hailing from Karnataka.
